Hotels of the New Age - Bizarre?

Imagination can bring to life wonders, both rare and…bizarre! Here are a couple of hotels we only dreamed of visiting, or not. Call on one of these uncanny abodes and this life has pretty much been worth your while.

Tree House Hotel

A childhood adventure only now a lavish experience. Hotel rooms elevated on trees, built with organic material, nestled in tropical forests. Complete with running water in private baths and telephones. Comfortable beds and a breath taking view.

Hotel Green Magic Tree House - Vythiri

Cave Hotel

A primitive exploit only now a contemporary quest. Lodging underground, these hotels around the world vary from rustically simple to plush accommodations. The rooms are maintained on a constant natural temperature, warm in winter and cool in summer. Television, fully-equipped kitchens, bathrooms, the daily modern day amenities; if that weren’t enough you can also have the pleasure of cave rooms with Jacuzzis.

Gamirasu Cave Hotel – Turkey

Kokopelli’s Cave Bed & Breakfast – New Mexico

Ice Hotel

Snowed- in, now a welcome thrill. A temporary hotel erected entirely with snow and sculpted blocks of ice each year. The blocks are held together using a substance known as snice, a substitute for mortar in a traditional brick-built hotel. Snooze in a thermal sleeping bag on a bed built of snow and ice layered with reindeer skin. Warm off at the heated section or with the sauna facilities, perhaps even a mélange at the bar.

Ice Hotel - Jukkasjärvi

Hôtel de Glace - Québec Canada

Underwater Hotel

See that which lay under the sea. Acrylic walls and dome ceilings enable guests to observe fish and other aquatic life. It promises true opulence. Currently under construction are the Hydropolis and the Poseidon Resort.

Crescent Hydropolis Resorts – Dubai

Space Hotel

If you really need that much space, brace yourself for this venture, set to receive its first visitors in 2012. During their stay, guests would see the sun rise 15 times a day and travel around the world every 80 minutes. Clad in velcro suits so as to crawl around their pod rooms, by sticking themselves to the walls like Spiderman.
