Long Distance Relationships can be tricky. It’s just so hard when there are miles between a couple both geographically and mentally. It’s the little things and the big splurges in between that will make it all the more worthwhile. So here are some romantic ideas to show your sweetie the LOVE!

Care Packages are easy to do and translates to a lot of fun. All you need to do is get a bunch of stuff that your partner likes. It could be anything from candy, CDs, cookies, picture albums to candles or whatever else. Basically you can put a whole bunch of all the stuff that your sweetie likes and pack it up in a huge box to be sent to them. Now that’s what we call a whole lot of LOVE!
Home-made Movie
LDRs are most painful because you can’t be with your partner or see them as often as you’d like to! So to make it better, make a fun movie for your better half. Put together a bunch of funny pictures of your good times together as a slide-show or may be a funny video of you two. This will make for a cute keepsake for later on. Plus, it reminds your partner that you still love them and cherish them even more when they’re away!
Plane Tickets
If you’re doing not-so-bad financially, buy plane tickets to go see a place together (do your homework in advance though by finding out the days that your sweetie is off on) or better yet, send him/her plane tickets to where you are! To make it even more special, it’d be nice if the two of you go to a place where you know there’s something interesting happening (like a music festival/concert or wine-crushing in a vineyard) to make your together-time even more memorable.

Besides spending oodles of money on fancy materialistic stuff, count on the small things to generate that huge amount of love that you feel for them. It could be anything from love-letters to a scrap book to planning a secret party for his/her birthday. You don’t want them to wallow in self-pity without you on their birthday. Make fancy reservations for him/her and their friends at a snazzy place (or ask their friends to throw him/her a house-party on your behalf) and make sure your friends take good care of your sweetie on their birthday. This will surely make your honey love you more!
• Surprise Visit
Ultimately nothing beats any of these ideas like showing up unannounced on their doorstep and surprising him/her. That would the best gift ever for them to see you in the flesh. And the coolest part is that you don’t have to wait for a special occasion to do this…Make your own occasion (being that you’re really missing him/her)! Awww.
