Day-dreaming about that hottie at work again? Tired of spending Valentine’s with your pet every year? Well, don’t just sit idle over it and get all mopey! Here’s the dope on how to make sure that your crush sits up and takes notice of you before the Big V:
1. Make Eye-Contact:
The foremost thing for your crush to notice you is to establish eye-contact. To do this, randomly catch his/her eye a few times. The next time that happens, smile. You have nothing to lose and besides, you’ll probably receive a smile back unless they have lockjaw or a painful toothache!
2. Smell Flirty/Nice:
Well, for anyone to take notice really, you need to ensure that you smell good. Tantalising scent is always a great way to lure your crush right to you. For girls, use a fresh, fruity or vanilla based scent. If you’re a guy, we love sporty scents and cologne. Plus, you could compliment him/her on their scent and ask them what they’re wearing, so it’s a sure conversation-starter in itself!
3. Crush-Brush:
The idea here is not to stalk your crush all the time and be present at every local hangout because you know they’re going to be there but to bump into them subtly.Go out with a bunch of friends to a place your crush frequently visits, or if it’s a colleague at work, whom you like, stand behind him/her in the food-line at the canteen. Never underestimate the power of creativity or humour! Make up funny poems or rhymes and write them on little notes. Don’t overdo it. Send them out anonymously or perhaps if it’s a cutie at work whose attention you want to grab, then you could stealthily slip in notes on his/her desk or corkboard or even stick them on the coffee machine! The best way for your crush to take notice of you is to do something inadvertently cute/funny in public. Now it might be a scary thought for those of you who are shy but you gotta try! Like say if your entire team at work is out for dinner at a Karaoke place, take the mike and pick a funny song or go with a friend if your knees are rubbery. Even if you’re not a great singer, your crush will see that you’re a great sport and you like to have fun too.
6. Love-Clues:
You can leave signs or clues to tell him/her that you’re attracted to them. Say for instance, body language. Be more open and receptive. Don’t flail your arms while talking; it’s not attractive to look like a gawking chicken. Touch their arm to show them you’re listening. However, don’t throw around blatant clues like, “I’m single too, we singles should hang together!” It makes you sound needy.
