Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
When a whiskered old man discovers the actor playing Santa at Macy’s, drunk, Doris Walker, the unbending special events director, persuades the old man to take his place as the new store Santa. Kris Kringle, the old man, who insists that he’s the real Santa Claus fails to assure Doris of his credibility and he goes to court to prove himself to the disbelieving Doris.
A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)
For all you Peanuts fans, in this movie, Charlie Brown is disgusted with the overwhelming materialism that he sees amongst most of his friends like Lucy, Schroeder and dog, Snoopy. Upon Lucy’s suggestion, that he should direct the school Christmas pageant, Charlie accepts, but his efforts remain futile. When an attempt to restore the proper spirit with a forlorn little fir Christmas tree fails, he uses Linus’ help to learn the real meaning of Christmas.

The Santa Clause (1994)
This movie is up on the list of family must-see movies every Christmas season. When something happens to the real Santa, Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) is chosen to step in the shoes of Santa Clause. Scott, who thinks Santa isn’t real and who doesn’t really like anything associated with Christmas begins to have to eat his words when he starts growing a beard and belly! It isn’t long before he learns the true meaning of the Christmas Season as Santa Clause.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
Jim Carrey as the sly, Christmas-hating Grinch in HTGSC is the story of a bitter, cave-dwelling, cat-like creature that lives in the magical land of Whoville. In Whoville, live the Whos (mutated sort of munchkin-like people) who love Christmas. However, to make sure that the Whos have a very nasty Christmas, the Grinch plots to steal it away from them. Towards the end, The Grinch learns the true spirit of Christmas sharing and caring!
The Polar Express (2004)
Directed by Robert Zemeckis through Performance Capture, this is the story of a young boy who boards a powerful magical train that’s headed to the North Pole and Santa Claus’s home on Christmas Eve. What transpires is an adventure that enlightens a doubting boy, on his journey to self-discovery as he receives an extraordinary gift that only those who still believe in Santa can experience.
Four Christmases (2008)
Live-in couple, Brad and Kate (Vince Vaughn & Reese Witherspoon), are headed to Fiji on Christmas morning, because they’ve always hated spending Christmas with their two sets of divorced parents. However, when all flights get canceled, and through another turn of events, they can’t escape visiting each of their four idiosyncratic parents. As the day progresses, Brad and Kate learn new sides of each other. That’s when they start to wonder if they really know each other at all and if their relationship can make it to the end.
A Christmas Carol (2009)
This adaptation of one of the best loved classics written by Charles Dickens is directed by Robert Zemeckis (who also made The Polar Express) and stars Jim Carrey, Colin Firth, Gary Oldman among other actors.
